I have several very old books from the 1860s to the early 1900s. Some are in very good condition, though the pages are yellowed. I’m not sure how to determine if they are first editions or their value. Can you help?

I'm looking for a value for my Kittinger sofa for insurance and estate planning purposes. The sofa is in excellent condition, has a brass plate but no serial number, and is very heavy, about 7' long, with solid and carved arms, and about 2.75' wide. It was my great aunt's and came from a wealthy family.
