I have the latest version of Skype and since I got it months ago, it has been a nightmare. Each time I sign in, I see a screen that says to use the latest version of Skype and two buttons: 'not now' or 'try it now'. I click on 'try now' and see my contacts, but cannot communicate with them. While I hear them speaking, they cannot hear me. When I check settings, everything is okay, but I cannot communicate. I am running Microsoft 10 and last updated Skype a week ago. What should I do to resolve this issue?

I have been using the same broadband connection for ten years, but I am now being told I do not have an internet connection. My computer is an Acer E1 570 with Windows 10, which recently updated. I tried setting up a new connection but was told I do not have a valid IP address. I am using Orange in France.
