My mail to other AOL mail frequently shows "currently unavailable" when I check the status. How do I resolve this?

I discovered that someone hacked into my Hotmail contact list and sent spam emails to everyone on the list. I notified Hotmail via the 'Report Abuse' link and tried to regain access to my blocked email account. I followed the links to regain access and set up a new Hotmail address since the old one was invalid due to a move. I received a notification from Hotmail about my account recovery request but have not received any further updates. I sent an email to 'feedback' but heard nothing back. I resubmitted the form to gain access but have still heard nothing. I am very frustrated that I can't access my email and need assistance in recovering my account.
