I have a Dell N7110 Inspiron laptop that was not accessing the internet, so I reset it to a previous restore point. Now, when I power it up, it goes to the login page, but the screen jumps from blue to black and back, and it won't prompt for a login box. I tried safe mode, but still no login box. Any ideas?

I need to make an appointment for a service call. My Gateway computer needs a thorough check-up. I cannot get emails to print to my printer, and I would like a comprehensive check of everything. I'm not sure if any updates were installed recently, as a friend worked on it before moving away.
