I have 3 computers all running Windows 7 connected on a wireless network. How do I set them up to share all files (read and write) on the network without using Homegroup, and can I delete the public folders from all computers?

My system is making typewriter sounds and my keyboard will not input any keystrokes. I have checked my 'sounds' in the control panel and it's set to 'no sounds'. I have rebooted several times. What could be causing this issue and how can I resolve it?
