I am using Microsoft Works 8.0 and only use the database portion of the program. I find it adequate, but wonder if there is another product that can do the same thing for me, plus additional functional abilities?

In the last month or so, I've had a box pop up labeled Mozilla Automatic Updates, which prevents me from using Mozilla Firefox to access the web. System restore temporarily fixes the issue, but the update pops up again a few days later. How do I prevent this automatic download from happening on my Windows Vista PC?

I have Windows XP and disabled MSN Explorer and Windows Messenger through Add/Remove Windows Components, which caused my sound to stop working. I have verified that my sound drivers are functioning correctly, but I still get an error message indicating my sound card might be in use. Additionally, I use a LinkSystem Wireless adaptor, and every reboot reverts to the Windows wireless adaptor, prompting me to switch back to LinkSystem. How can I resolve these issues?

I have built a website for a client, and he can't access the FTP server, receiving a message about the folder being read-only due to proxy server settings. He could access it fine at different times, but now he can't, even using different FTP clients. What could be causing this issue?

I just got a Lenovo IdeaPad for traveling and need an external CD drive to load programs. Should it be a CD-RW/DVD drive? What model is suggested? I have an Iomega Predator CD/RW, but some programs just spin and never load. Any suggestions?

I have just purchased a Canon Pixma 850. I have a Canon Rebel XT camera, Windows Vista, and Adobe Photoshop Element 5.0. When I print photos, the colors do not match what I see on the computer or in Photoshop. The skin tones are too red, and shadows are too blue. I have tried adjusting settings manually but feel like I'm working in the dark. What can I do to improve the color accuracy of my prints?
