I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with Firefox 12.0, and during an update, a file failed to uninstall properly, causing an error. The Package Manager shows one broken package for Firefox, and the error indicates that the 'adobe-flashplugin' package failed to install because it is not a genuine Ubuntu package. The terminal error shows 'E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)'. How can I resolve this issue?

My fiancée just passed away and we are trying to access her computer, but she has passwords on it. Her laptop has 'first equine' as a password hint. How do we bypass this to retrieve her pictures for the family? The computer runs on Windows 7 and is an eMachine.

I can receive e-mail messages from my e-mail host server, but cannot send any e-mails. The error says that the connection to the server is interrupted. I spoke with both my e-mail host provider and our ISP and it appears it should work. It worked well for years, but not in the last week. Could it be something with a recent Microsoft update?
