I bought a computer on March 10, 2021, and my monitor doesn't come on. I tried a different monitor with the same issue. I haven't tried unplugging the computer for ten seconds and then plugging it back in. I think it might be the tower. What could be the problem and what should I do?

Is it possible to use an Apple computer that is unconnected to the internet? My husband wants a device mainly for writing, without any internet use, and it should be able to use a thumb drive to transfer his work to my PC for finishing and printing.
