I can't remember my Facebook account password and when I try to send a code to reset it, I don't receive a text. I've had the account for about 8 years and am not logged into it on any other devices. My new email isn't connected to my Facebook account, and I can't get a code sent to my old one. What can I do to reset my password?

My computer is infected with a virus, as evidenced by unsolicited windows popping up. I am currently backing up my important files to an external hard drive. I am unsure whether to have the Geek Squad run an anti-virus and clean my hard drive, or to install Linux as my friend suggested. I use this computer for social media, scanning and storing important documents, and viewing adult websites. What are the steps I should take to clean my computer from the virus and how can I prevent future infections?
