In Pages on Apple iWork '06, whenever I finish typing and the cursor moves to the next line, a white line appears through the text. It disappears when I go to that line of text again. What causes this and how do I fix the problem?

Whenever I open an application like Safari or iTunes, everything on my desktop closes except the application I open. I did not do anything I know to start this. I want to keep all apps open. Also, I cannot drag sections or pictures off the Safari browser anymore since this happens and can't use Grab either as I can't keep more than one app open. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

I need to perform a clean boot, but I can't do so unless I'm signed in as an administrator. I am signed in as an administrator, but I don't know how to access the administrator account. What can I do to resolve this issue?

I have a Sony Handycam that saves files as ".mti". How do I convert these files to a usable format for PC media manipulation? Additionally, the software disc that came with the Handycam won't install on my Windows XP PC, showing an error message: An error [5009:0x8002802b] has occurred while running the setup.

I installed Boot Camp on a new Intel MacBook Pro, but when I tried to use an OEM Windows XP disk for installation, the SuperDrive wouldn't read it and got stuck. Now, when I try to boot the Mac, I get a black screen with the message 'no bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key'. I've tried using the option key on boot-up, but clicking on the Mac HD icon had no effect. I don't have any macOS disks. How can I get the Mac partition up and running, and possibly the Windows XP side too?
