I have a Canon MP550 printer/scanner that makes loud noise when turned on and gives a 5011 error intermittently. The printer sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, and the service center couldn't diagnose the issue. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

I cannot save files to the designated drive on my network. When I use the 'Save As' button, it lists the correct location, but the file fails to save to the requested drive. I am using Microsoft Windows 7. What could be the issue?
