I have a Dell desktop running Windows 10. After attempting to install updates, the system now displays a black screen with circling white dots and a white arrow cursor, and it won't boot up. I've tried restarting the computer, but it requires hard shutdowns. There were no error messages or unusual behavior before this issue occurred. What could be causing this and how can I resolve it?

My Mediacom email account was shut down in late November. I have forgotten my password and believe I was hacked, as emails from clients and friends are bouncing back. I have tried password reset options but they don't work. I also received notices of too much data and tried to delete data when I could access the account, but that didn't resolve the issue.
