I have a Hewlett-Packard 19 All-In-One with Windows 8.1. My DVD CD-ROM Disc Drive won't close, and the CD-DVD ROM (E:) is missing. I tried restarting the computer and checking for objects in the drive, but nothing worked. I'm not very computer literate and need help resolving this issue.

My laptop shuts down with a black screen, the battery runs down to nothing, but it's plugged into power. I have Windows 10 and installed updates in late November. The laptop has a removable battery, and it seems to be running fine without it. What could be the issue and what should I do?

I saved Word documents onto my new Asus laptop with Office 365 installed. Some documents appear as PDFs and when I right-click for options, the documents shut down. I suspect the default for Word documents may be the issue. How can I resolve this?
