My laptop's data was removed by a repair tech, and while Yahoo Mail restored most of the lost data, my Favorites and Favorites Bar are missing. How can I restore them on my Windows 7 laptop?

When I log on to my computer right after I input my password, the message 'The User Profile Service service failed the logon' and 'User profile cannot be loaded' comes up, and then it logs me off. I have been using this computer for 10 years and never saw this issue before. What can I do to resolve this?
