Yesterday my computer started loading pages very slowly, worse than dial-up connections. I have rebooted, deleted temp internet files, deleted lots of emails, de-fragged, and nothing has improved. What could be causing this issue and what steps can I take to resolve it?

I have a Dell computer running Windows 7 that is 2 years old. Recently, programs have started to crash, including Excel. Unable to log into my last year's account. The alternative is to input my SSN and phone number, but I'm not comfortable with this option as it doesn't show a security lock icon. My phone number and address have changed since last year. Should I enter as a new subscriber?
