Are there viruses in Adobe Acrobat 8.1.3 or Acrobat Reader 9 causing non-recognition problems with my HP 2175 all-in-one printer? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the full up-to-date HP software, but I can't get HP Director to respond. My printing and copying functions work initially, but then the scanner stops responding from Acrobat, Photoshop, or online banking deposit programs, and eventually, the printer won't print from any software. This problem seemed to start with a 09/13/2011 update from Adobe, but I'm not sure if it was to Acrobat or Reader. My system is Windows XP Pro on a Dell Latitude 505 laptop, and I acquired Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 with Adobe CS 3.
