I am trying to open a Word document attachment in Microsoft Outlook using Microsoft Office 2007, but it says there is no program associated with this file. What should I do?

I am unable to remove the echoing on my computer. When I increase the speaker volume to about 40%, the computer produces a loud noise and I can hear my voice echoing back to me, even the sound of me typing or moving things on my desk. I use my microphone and speakers all the time on Skype for my international business transactions. Can you help me resolve this issue?

My operating system is Windows XP and my browser is Firefox. When I receive an email with a .doc attachment, it opens by default in WordPerfect 11, which can't open Word documents. I want it to open in WordPerfect X4, which can open or convert Word documents, or give me a choice of which program to use. How do I change this default behavior?

I frequently use Excel on Windows 7 and find that all functions in Excel are not functioning at times. Sometimes, I have to reboot my computer multiple times to activate all the functions. Is this a common problem in Windows 7? Has this problem been resolved with an updated version? Please advise.
