I backed up my data last week and it removed all my pictures from Lightroom on my Mac. I updated to Lightroom 6 a couple of weeks ago. How can I get my pictures back into Lightroom?

I downloaded an IntactHD M4V Converter to remove DRM from iTunes movies so I can copy them onto an SD card for my children to watch in our Toyota entertainment system. The converter is stuck on 'waiting' and won't convert. I also have a Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate to convert the files to MPEG-2, but the SD reader in the Toyota doesn't read m4v files. How can I resolve the conversion issue and ensure the movies play correctly on the Toyota system?

I am an administrator, but my external drive denied my access. I have a Sony Vio Intel Core 64-bit with Windows 7, and a desktop with Windows 10. The external drive is used over both devices. I have not installed any updates recently. The issue also affects my C drive, where all directories seem to be set to read-only and shared with nobody. What can I do to regain access?
