I purchased a star for my Christmas tree using a gift card and my debit card. When I returned the defective item, the refund was only credited to the gift card, not my debit card. I was told that the refund could not be canceled and that I would have to wait for the refund to be put back on the gift card. I don't understand why I couldn't receive a cash refund or have the refund credited back to my debit card, especially since I paid with both a gift card and my debit card.

I have a new Roku device that, after connecting to the internet and going through an update, returns to the 'Let's get started' screen and won't let me go into settings. I purchased a $250 Apple gift card through Amazon yesterday, but the recipient doesn't use Apple. I was told I can cancel the Apple gift card and replace it with a $250 Amazon gift card. Can you help me with that?
