I updated from Thunderbird 2.?? to the new 3.?? version and soon after all email in the inbox disappeared. How do I get it back? I use Windows XP Pro, Firefox browser, and my incoming email server is a POP server (not POP3).

I purchased a used computer from my office and it was completely cleared of the Windows XP Professional operating system. One of my co-workers mentioned that DELL offers a new version of Windows XP for this kind of situation at around $18.00. Is this true, and if so, how can I order it?

My phone rang while I was writing an email on AOL.com mail, and when I reached for the phone, my arm accidentally hit the mouse, causing my email and the attached email to disappear and an advertisement for toys to appear on my screen. Can I retrieve the email I spent an hour writing?

My Netbook NB305-N410WH (with Windows 7) no longer responds to the Start Button's Shutdown option. Nothing happens when I click Shutdown, and Log Off also doesn't work. Sleep and Hibernate options work fine. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?
