I was hacked on my Facebook page, and the hacker is using Messenger to tell my friends and family false information. I want my Facebook account taken down. I have tried reporting this to Facebook but am unsure if I'm doing the right thing. I checked my email and other online accounts for tampering, but they seem unaffected. My email address appears invalid when I try to enter it, although I can still see my emails. What should I do to recover my Facebook account?

Facebook has disabled my account because I tried to put a dummy birthdate in because I was unable to delete my actual birthdate. I was trying to edit my profile page and couldn't save any of the changes I made. What happened right before this Facebook issue came up?
