I went into a Verizon store in late December or early January. The representative misled me, stating that with a teacher discount, each line would be $30 plus tax. I sent in old phones, and Verizon was supposed to pay them off, but I had to pay $1,000 to cover the cost. My bill has not been consistent each month, and now they are telling me the bill will be $186 monthly instead of the promised $150. I want to break my contract due to the misrepresentation of benefits I was supposed to receive. What are the steps and costs involved in breaking the contract?
