I'm trying to connect an ASUS MB169B+ monitor to my Razer Blade Stealth laptop running Ubuntu 16.04 using the DisplayLink USB Graphics Software (v.1.3.54). My laptop detects the monitor, and I can drag and drop to the new monitor, but the ASUS monitor shows only a black screen, and the mouse on my laptop flickers. The installation stops at 'adding udev rule for DisplayLink DL - 3xxx/5xxx devices', and I know Ubuntu 16.04 uses systemd instead of upstart. What could be causing this issue, and how can I resolve it?
