My emachine T6532 is about 3-4 years old and randomly quits working, requiring a hard boot to close it. I've checked for viruses and there are 31 processes running. The machine seems to slow down and shut down without warning, and it's getting worse. What could be causing this issue, and if I need a new computer, what do you suggest?

I downloaded a program that slowed down my computer. I restored it back, but even though my computer started working normally, defragging shows over 3,000 fragments for that program. Why is it showing fragments for this program when I restored my computer back to before I downloaded the program? Also, is there any way to defrag efficiently if I have less than 15% space? I didn't have any fragments until I started getting Microsoft updates, and then I have thousands of them. Can you tell me why that is?
