My Gateway computer was left open last night while working on a word program. When I tried to use it this morning, the mouse was frozen, and after forcing a shutdown, the computer would not reboot past the Gateway logo page. What could be the issue and how can I fix it?

I have a Lenovo W510 laptop. The DVD drive is not working; it flashes 10 times and makes noise when I insert a DVD, but nothing happens afterward. The same DVD works fine on another laptop, and the DVD drive works fine when moved to another laptop. I suspect it's a software issue. How can I resolve this?

I have an EeePC 1005HAB. When the screen is in the open position, it is blank white (no cursor). As I slowly close the screen, it goes black when it is almost fully closed. When I slowly lower the screen from the fully open position, it finally "comes on" when it hits a 45-degree angle. But then I can't use the netbook because the screen and keyboard are pretty inaccessible at that angle. The hinge is nice and tight, so there's no obvious problem there. Can you help?

Sony model PCG-71511L: The green power light comes on and stays on, but the status lights flash once and then nothing. The laptop will not boot into BIOS or Windows. I have tried switching the battery, memory, and hard drive with another identical laptop, but there is no progress. What could be the issue and how can it be resolved?
