I can't initialize the installer for Flash Player. I'm trying to download the online Flash Player program. What could be the issue?

I just upgraded my computer to Windows 8 and have been using Scansnap S1500 successfully for a long time, saving PDF files in the folder path: C:\\users\\sjw\\VirtualFilingCabinet\\*.*. I recovered this directory using Mozy Home Backup, but when I attempt to save a file to these folders using the 'Browse' option, I get the error message: 'The specified destination folder is invalid. Verify that the destination is correct.' The first restore attempt seemed incomplete, and I still have a restore process ongoing. Why won't the scan to folder accept the path I have been using for years on Windows 7?

When I bought my MAC desktop, I also purchased Parallels and Windows 7. Apple installed these products for me at that time, but they did not ask whether I wanted the 32 or 64 bit version of Windows 7. The system runs well except my older 32 bit applications will not run. Is there a solution to the problem? Please advise.
