My USB ports on Windows XP are not working. I have tested them in Device Manager and they show as working correctly. I have deleted and re-detected them, but they still don't function. I know they have power because they were tested, but nothing happens when I plug something in. I tried using the disc that came with my plug-and-play equipment and manually installing drivers, but it didn't work. My USB ports used to work because I had a game controller connected to them. How can I fix this issue?

How does a search engine differentiate between an article I have written and one written by someone else that I have put on my site with their permission and a link back to their site? Also, do the articles I use for link trade-offs need keywords related to my site if I write them or use a ghostwriter? Finally, will keywords be an issue if I submit my articles to directories or article sites that accept them?

I have no volume on my computer when playing CDs, DVDs, or other audio files, although the TV system connected to it still has volume. I have checked and adjusted the master volume controls and ensured the mute button is not on. I have also attempted troubleshooting through the control panel. What else can I do to resolve this issue?

I need an example of a C program that strips comments from a source file.
