A medium-sized labradoodle, approximately 8 months old and weighing about 35 lbs, may have swallowed an allergy pill containing 5mg loratadine and 120mg pseudoephedrine sulfate about an hour ago. The dog chewed the pill out of its plastic wrapper and has shown no adverse reactions so far. What should be done to monitor the situation and what potential side effects should be watched for?

My 4-year-old Shih Tzu-Bichon mix, Cooper, ingested about 2 inches of a panda plant succulent. He has vomited three times, is lethargic, but shows no mouth, throat, or gum irritation. His gums are pink, and he's not struggling to breathe or drooling. His heart rate is around 80 beats per minute, and he is still responsive and drinking water. What should I do?

Hi. I have a 30 lb. dog that just ate 1.5 grapes. I just looked up that they can be toxic and to contact a pet help line early before symptoms start. Has the dog vomited since ingesting the grapes? Is there anything else the vet should know before I connect you? The dog is a pit bull terrier mix, medium-sized.

My 70lb shepherd (Hank, 2 years old) and my 10lb dachshund (Phoebe, 1 year old) might have eaten 400mg ibuprofen. I attempted to make them both vomit but didn’t see the pills in either of what was produced. Hank had an intussusception in January. Is either dog showing any signs out of the ordinary?

I have a 9-year-old male stinger spaniel named Oliver with lymphedema in one hind leg. The leg is swollen to triple its normal size, does not hurt, but gets very wet and prone to yeast infections. He has been treated with steroid shots for arthritis shown in x-rays, and is currently taking gabapentin. We are running out of ideas and think he might need antibiotics again. What can we do for at-home care and are there alternative treatments available?

Our dog, Pippin, had surgery to remove a lump on his shoulder, and now three more have come back. Is it like human cysts where if you leave the sack, the cyst will grow back? What should we ask the vet?
