A puppy named Gatsby, who I am interested in adopting, was given an Albon injection instead of the usual oral dosage, resulting in swelling near the injection site. All the puppies in the litter had the same reaction. The current owner usually gives an oral dosage as a preventative when pups are leaving their mother and going to new homes. This is her first experience with injectable Albon. The vet examined Gatsby and said the swelling should go down over time. No other symptoms or issues from the dosage. Should I be concerned about this reaction?

My dog, Max, a 4 1/2-year-old Golden Doodle, has developed scab-like growths on both ears at the bottom of the flap inside. These growths have bled after he rolled through the grass. He has a history of allergies affecting his right ear. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I have a 15-month-old heifer that had a difficult calving and is now showing signs of weakness and going off feed. I suspect anemia and worry about internal bleeding. What can I do to determine if there is internal bleeding, and is there any treatment I can administer given my remote location and lack of veterinary access?

My dog, who is nursing and not quite 2 weeks old yet, has been panting heavily, lying on her side, and is locked tight. I tried giving her Ensure with her dog food and a cool bath, but there's no change. She also turned her head away from her favorite snack, a hot dog cut into little bites. What could be wrong and what should I do?

My new 8-week-old puppy, Cisco, won't eat and is hiding. He was initially active and drank some milk. He doesn't seem to be in pain or more tired than usual. What could be the issue and what should I do?

My 75 lb Belgian Malinois ate Oatley plumbers putty, possibly the size of a golf ball. He has not vomited yet and there is no ethylene glycol in the putty. What should I do?
