Dr. Kara, Bailey woke up yesterday at 6:30 a.m. and vomited a small amount of bile. He was fine afterwards and even wanted to eat. He's done this before but not often at all. Since he had vomited I waited a couple of hours and only fed him some brown rice. Later that same day I fed him more brown rice mixed with boiled chicken. He had a normal bowel movement as well. Twice today he had a soft formed stool that was yellow and you could tell there was rice mixed in. Could it just be the food change?

I have heard that Parastar Plus is more effective than Frontline Plus for deer ticks in Northern Minnesota, but I can't find any pet stores or vets in the central Minnesota area that sell Parastar Plus. They all recommend Frontline Plus. Is there a reason for this? Is Parastar Plus a health concern or problem?

I have a 7-year-old Snoodle who has suddenly gone blind within the last month. She has been tested for all tick-related and fungal diseases and does not have cataracts. Is there any chance of her getting her sight back?

Hello, I have a 9-year-old Shih Tzu/Maltese who developed skin irritation/rash/bumps on all 4 legs, specifically on the tops of her paws, after a visit to the groomer. She licks and chews constantly. I have tried cortisone spray, which seems to help. Could these be hot spots or razor burn? I want to be assured that it isn't anything more serious. Is there anything else I can do for her?
