For the last 2-2.5 years, my Chihuahua's liver enzymes have been troubling in blood work, getting worse over time, despite her appearing healthy and energetic. X-rays showed her liver is 4 times normal size and her gallbladder is 'gunked up'. An ultrasound and biopsy confirmed cirrhosis, but the liver is enlarged rather than shrunken, which is unusual. What could be the cause of this, and have you encountered this situation before?

My 3-month-old rat has severe liquid stool and has vomited up two large stools. She has been with me for two weeks and was last vet-checked in June. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I have a 7-year-old female Jackrat who started barking and could not see last night. Her pupils were dilated to the maximum. I took her to a local vet who checked her blood and vital signs, all of which were normal. What could cause this temporary blindness, and could it be related to her possibly running into something?

My dog has swelling on her body in random places and will not stop scratching herself. This started about 24 hours ago. We have tried Benadryl assuming it was an allergic reaction to something and also gave her 2 shower baths. Now, about 24 hours later, she is vomiting and the swelling is still showing in certain areas. What could be causing this and what should we do?

I have a 12-year-old boxer that has had problems with arthritis and recently started having seizures. The seizures involve stiffening, uncontrollable shaking, frothing, and difficulty breathing, lasting 2 to 4 minutes. Can animals have these seizures, and is there something we should do? Our vet is closed on weekends.

My dog is showing unusual signs such as arching his back and being very uncomfortable. We saw a vet yesterday, but the vet is unsure if it's back problems or stomach problems. What suggestions do you have?
