Hi Doctor, I hope this finds you safe and well. Since my last consult on JustAnswer regarding Louie’s ear infection, I was able to pick up a few treatments from my local vet: Trizedta Crystals Ear Flush, Dermotic Ear and Skin Suspension, and Zymox Otic Enzymatic Solution with Hydrocortisone 1%. After two weeks of applying the crystal flush and dermotic suspension, there was a visible improvement in Louie’s left ear, but a buildup of earwax remained. Following the completion of the course of dermotic, we have been applying the Hydrocortisone twice weekly, but today I caught him scratching his ear until he cried out in pain. The irritation and infection seem to only start and/or get considerably worse when we are staying at my partner’s home. At my own apartment, he does not seem to have issues. May I get your recommendation on how to help little Louie and is there a chance we could pinpoint the source of the issue and curtail it?
