Hi Dr. This is Jan. You just answered my question about my BIS stud dog. I need to ask some more questions. I do have an in-season bitch in the same room as him. It has never been an issue before as he is a pretty seasoned stud dog. Would this irritate the situation? Should I separate them? I heard that sometimes it can be from an hormone imbalance? He is current on his brucellosis tests. As I get his semen frozen and test him when I do so. Should I insist on an ultrasound and or x-ray as well? He is on a very strong form of Amoxicillin. Is there anything else I can do to help relieve the swelling? When should he see some results from the antibiotic if it is just an infection?

My 12-week-old shih tzu puppy, Finley, might have licked a little bit of Caesar dressing from a container. He seems fine, but I'm concerned about potential garlic or onion toxicity. What should I do?

My 5-pound Yorkie, Teddy, ate one green grape about 45 minutes ago. Should I try to induce vomiting, and what are the potential risks or side effects of doing so?

My girlfriend's 6lb dog, Lulu, ate 4 Hershey's Kisses within the past 10 minutes. She has not vomited since. Lulu is 10 years old and has a collapsing trachea and some inflammation in her legs. Is an emergency visit needed?

My dog is drooling, shaking/trembling, and can't hold her balance. This started about an hour ago, and all local vets are closed. What can I do?

My female 7-year-old blue and white pitbull Piper is having skin issues and is limping on her front paw. She has old and rough paw pads, uses a paw balm, and has no visible sores or swelling. She licks her feet and uses curaseb on her paws to control yeast and bacteria. What can I use at home to help her now?
