I have a dog who escapes fences. I found that fastening a piece of PVC pipe on his collar so it hangs horizontal with the ground keeps him from pushing through. The pipe weighs about one pound. Dog is 4 years old and weighs 125 lbs. He has been wearing it for six months. He has not shown any discomfort or any rubbing on his neck. The plastic hangs below his neck. Is this weight harmful?
