I adopted a young pariah dog that was diagnosed with distemper and has since recovered, but now has serious eye issues. The right eye has a white layer covering it, and both eyes show redness and inner eyelid visibility. The vet diagnosed it with corneal opacity and prescribed antibiotics. However, the right eye is now not opening at all, and there is yellow discharge. Is this eye issue related to the past distemper, and could it lead to losing the eye? How long can antibiotics like Tobramycin be continued, and could the dog's laziness be due to eye pain?
