I am babysitting a friend's dog named Bear who has had yellow diarrhea for 2 days, occurring 3 times. This is the first time he has been away from his owners. Should I be concerned about stress as a possible cause, and should I take him to a vet?

My Chihuahua, Noelle, who will be 13 years old on December 25, 2018, has loose brown stool and sometimes almost purple in color. She also seems very unhappy in her current living situation.
