I am babysitting my daughter’s two dogs. They are mutts - both about 20-25lbs. While I was out, they got into a box of protein bars. No chocolate in them, but they ate 5 of them, containing 17gm fiber and 21gm protein each. I hadn’t seen the ripped up packages and fed them dinner (1/2 c food each). Am bracing for the worst...what might it be and when? Thanks!!!

My 9-month-old Poodle x Bernese Mountain puppy became listless, refused to eat or drink, and was in pain. X-rays initially showed nothing, but later showed objects in his intestines. He was hospitalized, passed bloody stool, and seemed better, but now he is in pain again, pacing, and randomly yelping. The vet checked him again but found nothing concerning. What could be causing his pain and what should I do?

My dog, Charlie, a 9-year-old Beagle/Terrier, has been vomiting for the last 2 days and stretching, possibly due to abdominal discomfort. He ate artificial bones for Christmas and is now throwing up bile. Is there something over the counter I can give him to settle his stomach?

My husband mistakenly gave Metronidazole (250 mg) to my pregnant dog, Miranda, who is 5 and a half years old and past 35 days of pregnancy. Should I make her vomit with hydrogen peroxide, and is there anything else the veterinarian should be aware of?
