I am disappointed in the surgical treatment of my dog's cherry eye. The surgery cost over $600, and the cherry eye recurred within 2 weeks despite wearing a shield and using prescribed drops. The vet acknowledged the recurrence but offered no guarantees for a second surgery. I am questioning the acceptable standards in veterinary medicine for such outcomes.
