My dog Diesel, a 7-year-old Newfoundland weighing 87lbs, has worsening allergies, particularly since moving to a 10-acre property. He is losing hair on his legs, face, and elbows, and his skin is bumpy, itchy, and dry, resembling dandruff. He mainly licks and chews his feet and legs, and his face is also affected. He has been given Benadryl (3 tablets of 25mg twice a day) but it doesn't seem to help. What treatment options are available for his severe allergies, and how should I manage his condition at home?
