I have a 10-year-old mixed terrier named Sreymao who weighs 17.2 lbs. She appears to have developed a right-sided anal gland infection. The area is red, warm, slightly swollen, and indurated but not fluctuant. I have some Augmentin and she's already started on warm compresses. Is a dose of 100mg twice a day correct? Additionally, she is overall in good health but may be a bit overweight, ideally weighing around 15 lbs.

I think my dog, Otis (4 years old), has a ruptured anal gland. Is there any home care I can do since I have no money for a vet visit?

My grandson just bought a puppy from a private party and found a tick in its ear. Is there something safe to put in the puppy's ear to get the tick to release?

My 8-year-old lab mix, Sam, has been having trouble pooping, with it dripping out in little puddles. His nose is warm and dry, and he has become less active today. He is still eating and drinking. What could be causing this and what should I look out for?

My 7-month-old dog, Moose, swallowed small bits of a bathing suit, a chunk of a degradable plastic bag, and one side of a hard plastic hanger. It has been approximately 10 to 12 hours since the incident, and he is eating, playing, peeing, and pooping normally. He has pooped three times since the incident, with small shards of the plastic hanger in his stool. I have been giving him high-fiber bread after each poop. How long before we can say there is no issue?
