I have a 10lb Maltese with diarrhea. I tried cholestyramine at a dosage of 1/8 tsp twice a day, which worked for about 3 weeks, but the diarrhea started again. Should I increase the dosage, or is there another approach I should consider?

My dog has had constipation and diarrhea, strains to poop, scoots her butt, eats grass, vomits, and hacks. Her intestines are gurgling loudly, and she whimpers when her stomach is touched.
