I have a 12-year-old German Shepherd Dog (GSD) who started having seizures. The vet prescribed prednisolone 40 mg a day, which is the only dose that prevents seizures. The vet suggested reducing the dose, but any reduction triggers seizures. My dog is incontinent about 80% of the time, very hungry and thirsty, and not quite the same dog he used to be. How long can a dog continue on this high dose of prednisolone comfortably, and what are the long-term effects?

My 8-year-old Corgi is moaning, won't eat, and may be constipated and in pain. She acts like she wants to pass a stool but can't, moves slowly, and has a tucked tail. I don't know when she last passed a stool. She was fed a lot of junk food, possibly including chicken bones, and has had a UTI with antibiotics. What should I do to help her until the vet opens?

I have a two-year-old female dog that is getting skinny and weak since yesterday. She has been dewormed, but I am still in the process of administering the dewormer. She had puppies five weeks ago and was already having trouble maintaining her weight despite being fed twice a day. She hasn't shown any interest in food for 24 hours but still feeds her young. What could be causing her condition and what should I do?

My dog has a benign tumor on her ear. My vet wants to remove a significant part of her ear when removing this tumor. Why can't he just slice it off without involving the whole ear, similar to how it is done in humans?
