I have a 15-pound mix terrier named Boo, who was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Fever (RMF) and has been on a 6-week course of antibiotics. After completing the initial course, he still showed signs of lethargy and a high temperature, so the vet prescribed another 6 weeks of antibiotics. Additionally, he was given a 6-day course of steroids. Does this extended treatment seem excessive or normal, and should I be concerned about potential side effects on his organs?
