I have a 16-month-old German Shepherd, Jake, who was given to me as a Christmas gift in 2010 at 9 weeks old. He was added to my existing pack, Ben (a black lab, 9 years old) and Rory (a Golden Retriever, 7 years old). Jake is crate trained and spends the time he cannot be supervised closely in there. I exercise them every day for a minimum of 20-30 minutes and sometimes over an hour. Jake will not come and relax in the family room with the family; he is constantly getting into everything. I've tried using a Caesar Milan walking leash to force him to come and join us, but he will not lay down and cries and whines continuously. I hate to have him crated when we're all together. Any suggestions?

My toy fox terrier had a dental cleaning, tooth removal, and removal of skin nodules. She was also diagnosed with an enlarged heart and started on Vetmedin, Enacard, and furosemide. The vet didn't prescribe pain meds due to her cardiac condition. She's still in pain and won't eat. What can I give her for pain that won't interact with her current medications?

I have a soon to be 12-year-old rat terrier that has had a history of seizures, which were not severe. A week ago, he started lazing around, not wanting to get up, and sometimes whelps when touched.
