I'm diligent about checking and combing them daily, but I'm not sure if the flea medications are working or if I'm just finding new fleas before they have a chance to die. Additionally, I found fleas in my home and at my parents' place, where the dogs spend time. What could be causing the flea medications to not work effectively, and what additional steps can I take to eliminate the fleas?

My chihuahua, Nino, has not eaten or drunk anything since yesterday, is showing subtle shaking in his rear body, and appears nervous. This morning, he jumped off the bed to go outside but stopped and went to his bed in the living room, and has not urinated after all night. I am worried about him.
