I have a 6-year-old Yorkie named Ziggy who has been acting like he is choking and having a hard time breathing, with occasional wheezing. This has been happening on and off for about 2 days, with no specific pattern. Ziggy was rescued at 2 years old and was badly abused. He is not on heartworm prevention. What could be causing this and what should I do?
