I have a 9-year-old beagle/basset hound mix named Duncan who has developed a large, dry, crusted scab over about 1/3 of his back. The scab is hard and mixed with his coat, making it difficult to see due to his dark fur. Duncan has been rubbing against walls and tables to scratch at it, indicating discomfort. He is still eating, going to the bathroom, and sleeping well. I started giving him Benadryl at night, which seems to help with the scratching. What could the condition be, and what should I do?

Hey - so no symptoms but I was just rubbing my dog on the left side near her belly and felt a lump move around. Made me nervous. What could this lump be and should I have it checked now or at her next check-up?

My dogs, a black lab and a pit bull, got into almost half a pan of brownies that contained caffeine. It's been about 15-20 minutes since they ate them, and they haven't vomited yet. What can I do at home to help them, and what symptoms should I watch for?
