I have a female and a male dog who are brother and sister and nearly 8 years old. They exhibit aggressive and possessive behaviors, especially when the female is in season, and have been snappy with humans in busy environments. Is it a good idea to get them spayed and neutered at this age to potentially calm them down and make them more trustworthy on walks?

I have a 15-year-old obese rat terrier who was possibly injured by a new puppy. She was limping, wouldn't get up, and now shows signs of lethargy, vomiting yellow bile, lack of appetite, and occasional stomach/chest spasms. Her eyes are open but have a fixed, glassy gaze, and she seems to be clamping down on her tongue in pain. What should I do?
