My dog may have eaten some gum. I initially thought it was much more, but we found most of the pieces outside. He weighs about 20-25 lbs and is otherwise healthy. I checked the ingredients and there was no xylitol. If he had one piece, will it hurt? Should I still try to induce vomiting?

We bought a German Shorthaired Pointer named Walker, who is 9 weeks old, almost 2 weeks ago. He came with AKC paperwork and vet records showing he had received his shots and dewormer starting at 2 weeks and had 4 doses between then and 8 weeks. Despite this, he is still pooping roundworms and just vomited a few worms as well. How can he still have worms after 4 treatments?
