My dog, Louie, a two-year-old Bullmastiff, has a white bubble on the white part of his lower right eye, under the lower right lid more toward the right. What could this be and what should I do?

We have a 13-year-old lab who began having trouble walking, going up and down stairs, etc. It recently got to the point where his hind leg was dragging. The vet put him on steroids and he seemed to be getting better (for a few days) but now even continuing with the steroids, he can't stand on either of his hind legs. The vet said there was nothing more to do but give him steroids and at some point we would have to make a decision about putting him down. I just want to be sure there are no other options.

I took my dog to a vet, but they were busy and asked me to come back the next day. When I did, they said they wouldn't return until March 1st. My dog, Lola, has more dry patches on her face and is losing hair. What should I do if I can't take her to a vet for a while?

My dog (a beagle weighing 25 lbs) ate some Stride gum, possibly half a pack to a full pack. I checked the ingredients and didn't see Xylitol listed. Will he be okay?

I am treating my dog for hives with prednisone. He has been on 20 mg twice a day for 5 days and the hives have not improved. Is this normal, and could it be a misdiagnosis or another condition that mimics hives?
